Suspect in Memphis Resident's Murder Apprehended in Covington, Charged with First-Degree Murder
Following a concerted effort by law enforcement agencies, Rickey Starks, a 24-year-old murder suspect, was apprehended in Covington. The arrest was the result of collaboration between the MNPD Homicide Unit, Specialized Investigations Division detectives, and the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office. Starks faces charges for his alleged involvement in the killing of London Montgomery on July 7, according to official reports.

Tennessee officials are planning the state’s inaugural toll roads, Choice Lanes!. The proposed I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes project would construct new, optional Choice Lanes on I-24 between Nashville and Murfreesboro. Choice Lanes are price-managed lanes that use pricing to proactively manage demand and provide travel-time reliability. The proposed Choice Lanes would allow motorists to maintain consistent travel speeds even when the adjacent existing lanes are congested.

Tennessee State Parks announced the installation of adult-sized changing tables at five state parks as part of efforts to increase accessibility for all visitors.
