UT Martin Crushes Record with 29 OVC Academic Medal Recipients
The University of Tennessee at Martin set a new school record with 29 Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Academic Medal of Honor recipients for the 2023-24 academic year, all achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. This surpasses the previous record of 28 honorees from the 2021-22 season. Since joining the OVC in 1992, UT Martin has now accumulated a total of 410 Academic Medal of Honor awards. The award recognizes student-athletes who maintain the highest GPAs in their respective sports, with the 2023-24 season seeing 310 recipients overall, marking the second-highest total in OVC history. Notable repeat winners include Dylan Mott and Shae Littleford, among others.
