Kroger named to Newsweek's list of "World's Most Trustworthy" companies

CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. has earned a spot on Newsweek’s 2024 list of the “World’s Most Trustworthy Companies,” ranking it among the top 1,000 companies globally by this measure across 23 industries and 20 countries.

"Our commitment to providing quality, value, and freshness is central to Kroger’s ‘Fresh for Everyone’ promise," said Rodney McMullen, Kroger's chairman and CEO. "The trust our customers place in us reflects the passion and dedication of our associates who work tirelessly to serve communities every day."

The ranking is based on over 230,000 evaluations from consumers, investors, and employees, highlighting companies that deliver on their promises of product quality, fair wages, and strong leadership. Kroger’s recognition adds to its growing accolades, including being named a top workplace for diversity and a leader in early career hiring.

Kroger said its Zero Hunger | Zero Waste impact plan has also built trust with consumers. Since its launch in 2017, the initiative has provided over 3.4 billion meals to combat hunger and is set to deliver 10 billion meals by 2030.
