CEO Bert Albertse says it’s just the beginning of the JetSet journey, with plans to continue expanding throughout the U.S. and beyond

JetSet Pilates continues to solidify its presence in the red-hot Pilates market, hitting a new milestone of 50 franchise locations sold.

The Miami-based Pilates brand began franchising in 2022, spreading from the Sunshine State to New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Washington D.C., California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Utah and Australia.

“Reaching over 50 franchised locations is a phenomenal achievement that validates our vision for JetSet ,” founder and brand president Tamara Galinsky said. “It’s incredibly rewarding to empower communities across the U.S. and Australia with access to a transformative Pilates experience that improves both mental and physical health and well-being.”

The Pilates brand is looking forward to expanding its presence , bringing its 50-minute, full-body workouts and advanced reformers to meet the demand for the popular modality. JetSet has previously stated that it was eyeing 600 franchised studios in the U.S. alone.

“50 franchise locations is a tremendous milestone, but it’s just the beginning of our journey,” JetSet Pilates CEO Bert Albertse said. “We’re committed to continuous innovation and strategic expansion, bringing the JetSet experience to even more communities throughout the U.S. and beyond.”

One JetSet franchisee, Goli Soli, a NASM-certified personal trainer, is opening a JetSet in NYC’s famed SoHo neighborhood this summer . Soli, impressed with the brand’s approach, was a student and instructor before becoming a JetSet Pilates partner.

“Being in the industry for a long time, I’ve tried many different fitness concepts,” Soli recently told Athletech News. “However, I knew from my very first JetSet class that this was truly at the top of revolutionizing group and individual fitness. Every class was uniquely curated with harmonized playlists and instructors that made every student feel like their best friend. Being both a student and instructor of this studio, I wanted to share this experience with everyone in the Big Apple.”

Following JetSet’s SoHo launch, Goli shared she plans to open additional studios over the next few years.

    Pilates Brands Fill Soaring Demand

Pilates proponents credit the modality for its numerous benefits, including improved posture, core tightening, flexibility and coordination, while also reducing stress and increasing muscle strength and tone. The workout ranked number one on ClassPass in 2023, underscoring the popularity of Pilates .

JetSet is one of many Pilates-based brands that’s experienced recent growth.

Xponential Fitness’ most successful brand in terms of locations is Club Pilates, which has grown to 1,000 studios and can even be enjoyed at sea, courtesy of a partnership with Princess Cruises .

F45 Training has also made a splash in the Pilates market with the launch of Vaura, a 50-minute workout. First launched in NYC’s Upper East Side, Vaura offers a club-like studio with mirrored ceilings , ambient lighting and a top-notch sound system. Vaura plans to open additional studios in the future while F45 also focuses on growing. F45 has also launched FS8, which offers a blend of Pilates, yoga and toning .

Last month, news swirled that Solidcore, a Pilates-inspired boutique fitness brand founded by fitness entrepreneur Anne Mahlum, is eyeing a sale that could value the brand at over $750 million , including debt. Solidcore has over 100 locations and received strategic funding from Kohlberg & Company and existing investors last year, announcing plans to open 250 studios by 2028 . Unlike many of its competitors, Solidcore hasn’t adopted a franchise model.
