    Map shows most expensive states to buy daily cup of coffee

    Coffee drinkers in one of America's most coffee-obsessed states pay a staggering $6.42 for a regular Cappuccino, latest findings show.

    Data from Cafelista shows Oklahoma coffee enthusiasts pay the most on average for a regular Cappuccino. Hawaii ranks in second place with residents paying $6.25 on average for a regular Cappuccino.

    Coffee drinkers in Massachusetts pay the third-highest amount at $5.71. In Idaho , a regular Cappuccino costs an average of $5.68 while it costs $5.58 in North Carolina, $5.55 in Tennessee and $5.50 in Pennsylvania .

    A regular Cappuccino costs an average of $5.48 in Washington, $5.46 in California and $5.43 in New Hampshire .

    The most coffee-obsessed state is Alaska, with 73.5 coffee shops per 100,000 residents. Residents of Alaska have 89% more coffee shops to population than Vermont.

    Cafelista analyzed Bing Maps to find the number of coffee shops in each US state. They analyzed a list of the biggest coffee shops in the US and then ranked states by the number of coffee stores per 100,000 population. The average price of Cappuccino in each state was analysed using Numbeo.
