These Massachusetts Dems are backing Kamala Harris for president

Massachusetts Democrats are joining the chorus of politicians endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

Why it matters: The vice president is seeing a groundswell of support from the Democratic establishment nationwide, dampening calls for a competitive convention.

The latest: Gov. Maura Healey endorsed Harris Monday afternoon, saying she will reduce costs, create jobs and "make sure every woman has access to the health care she needs."

    • Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll announced her endorsement of Harris around the same time.
    • As governor and LG, Healey and Driscoll are delegates.
    • Their endorsements came after much of the Massachusetts congressional delegation and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi backed Harris.

Catch up quick: Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Ed Markey and Rep. Ayanna Presley, all delegates, were among the first Massachusetts politicians to endorse Harris, after president Joe Biden withdrew from the race Sunday.

🗳 Here are some of the better-known delegates backing Harris:

    • U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark
    • U.S. Rep. Jake Auchincloss
    • U.S. Rep. Bill Keating
    • U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern
    • U.S. Rep. Lori Trahan
    • Attorney General Andrea Campbell
    • Boston Mayor Michelle Wu
    • Massachusetts House Ways and Means chairman Aaron Michlewitz
    • Senate President Karen Spilka
    • Massachusetts Rep. Christopher Worrell
    • Boston City Councilor Enrique Pepén
    • Boston City Councilor Brian Worrell
    • MassDems Chair Steve Kerrigan
