City of Manhattan holds Furniture Amnesty Day
MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The 10th annual Furniture Amnesty Day is happening today in Manhattan’s City Park. The annual event is free for all those who register. Registration for “shopping” opened at 8 a.m. on Friday. Shoppers registered for 15-minute slots from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Stormont Vail Health’s Cotton O’Neil Heart Center received an award for maintaining 30 years of excellence in vascular testing. Stormont Vail Health officials announced that Cotton O’Neil Heart Center has received the Gold Milestone Recognition from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The award recognizes 30 years of excellence for the vascular testing facility. As one of the first facilities to earn IAC accreditation in vascular testing, they are part of an elite group representing their continuous commitment to quality patient care.

Sgt. Greenlief Gets a Relentless Remuda War Horse
In late 2023 the men at War Horses for Veterans got a call—Trevor Brazile and Miles Baker had a Relentless Remuda horse that might fit their program. “Ty Smith with Solo Select heard that Trevor Brazile was looking to donate a horse and wanted to know the right place for it to go,” said medically retired Marine Sgt.
