    Woman shot outside south suburban Amazon facility, police say

    MATTESON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police investigating a shooting at the Amazon fulfillment center in the south suburbs.

    Matteson Police said a woman has been wounded in a shooting that happened Sunday night about 9:30 p.m.  at the center on Vollmer Road.

    A 33-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to her head and was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where she is expected to recover.

    Police said the shooting was likely retaliation for a fight that happened in the parking lot earlier in the night among Amazon workers.

    There is no word yet if anyone is in custody. Police said there is no immediate threat to homes or businesses in the area.

    This facility was the scene of a shooting two years ago . It occurred in the parking lot. No one was hurt then. It also stemmed from an argument.
