The free Uptown Maumee Music Fest is scheduled for Wednesday and July 4 with fireworks following the music Wednesday evening.

Live music starts at 2 p.m. Wednesday followed by the fireworks set to start at dusk. On July 4, the festival runs from noon to 11 p.m.

Ten bands are playing between the two days. A picnic, food trucks, a pop and beer truck, and other activities are also planned, city officials said. Attendees can take to-go alcoholic beverages through the music festival area.

Traffic closures will be in effect in the area of Conant Street from East John Street to Broadway Street, along with portions of the east and west sides of Wayne and Dudley streets. Parking restrictions will be enforced on some side streets throughout the Uptown district.
