    Religious Offerings: Maumee church hosts garage sale

    ■ The Friendly Center Service Guild and more than 25 churches will host a giant garage sale next week in Maumee.

    Donation drop-offs can be made from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett St., Maumee. Sale dates are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 1 and 2, and 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 3. The last day is $5 to fill a bag.

    Proceeds of the sale will benefit the Friendly Center’s community programs. The community center is a mission of the United Methodist Church that has supported North Toledo since 1923.

    All Saints Parish Festival is set for Friday and Saturday in Rossford.

    There will be live music, inflatables, bingo, raffles, and ethnic food. A Polka Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, followed by a chicken dinner until 7 p.m.

    Shuttles will be available from Rossford High School, Eagle Point Elementary School, and Local 245 and Local 8 union halls.

    The festival runs 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. both nights. Admission is free. All Saints Catholic Church is located at 628 Lime City Rd., Rossford. Go to facebook.com/allsaintsrossford for details.

    The weekend also brings parish festivals in Bellevue, Fostoria, and Shelby, Ohio. Festivals continue throughout the summer and fall across the Diocese of Toledo and are listed at bit.ly/4ab1KOa .

    ■ The Toledo Repair Cafe returns Saturday to the Kent branch of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library. Volunteers will attempt free repairs on any broken item.

    The June event saw about 30 items brought in for evaluation, with an 80 percent repair rate.

    The Toledo Repair Cafe is a multifaith co-ministry started by the Park United Church of Christ and the Sylvania Baha’i Community to help neighbors and the environment. It runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3101 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo.

    ■ Seventeen Toledo-based Sisters of Notre Dame are set to celebrate their anniversaries of professed religious life at a 2 p.m. Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, on Sunday.

    Sister Mary Roseria Helmkamp celebrates her 70th jubilee. She professed first vows in 1954.

    Sisters Mary Bryan Gabel, Mary Ralph Gerdeman, Mary Lucille Kime, Mary Barbra Ostheimer, Mary Jesse Thompson, and Mary dePorres Westrick celebrate their 65th jubilees. They professed first vows in 1959.

    Sisters Mary Krista Benda, Elizabeth Maria Garcia, Mary Francein Herold, Betty Jeanne Marie Kramer, Mary Stephan Kreinbrink, Mary Sartor, and Mary Jo Toll celebrate their 60th jubilees. They professed first vows in 1964.

    Sisters Judith Mary Frederick and Linda Marie White celebrate their 50th jubilees. They professed first vows in 1974.

    Sister LaReine-Marie Mosely celebrates her 40th jubilee. She professed first vows in 1984.
