Dollar General to pay $12 million in fines over worker safety issues
Dollar General has agreed to pay $12 million in a settlement with the federal government over workplace safety. The ubiquitous retail chain, with 19,000 locations including more than 700 in Michigan, agreed to the settlement last month with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It comes after Dollar General had been cited repeatedly for unsafe working conditions and was deemed a “severe violator” by the federal agency.
