LSU Library welcomes students back with "Cutie Fruity" keychains
The LSU Library and the East Baton Rouge Parish Library held a “Cutie Fruity” keychain-making event on Wednesday, August 28th to welcome students back to campus. A row of tables greeted students as they made their way through the library entrance. The Advocate staff writers predict the outcome of No. 13 LSU's season opener with No. 23 Southern California on Sunday night in Las Vegas:. As bad as LSU's defense was last year, USC's was worse. The Trojans allowed 6.10 yards per play and 34.4 points per game. Their rush defense was particularly leaky, and that's where the Tigers can take advantage. An area of low pressure in the northwestern Gulf of Mexico will not move much over the next couple of days. This will cause some more wet weather into the weekend. A FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Baton Rouge and areas to the south and east through Saturday Evening. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of small creeks and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Monitor the forecast and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
