Meet the candidates running for Elton mayor
ELTON, La. (KPLC) - Qualifying for the fall election has ended and we now know the two candidates who are running for mayor in the town of Elton. Elton Interim Mayor Mike Pierrotti will have one opponent in this fall’s mayoral election. The city council appointed the former councilman as mayor following the recall of the towns former mayor earlier this year.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - All day Saturday, Southwest Louisiana let the good time roll at the annual Cajun Music and Food Festival. “It started as a small organization here in Lake Charles and it’s just been bigger and bigger ever since. Collision on Buncombe Road leaves 3 injured
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Three people were transported to an area hospital after a wreck in Shreveport Saturday (July 20). Around 5 p.m., emergency units from Caddo Fire District 3 and Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a wreck on Buncombe Road. A sedan had hit the back of a large flatbed truck, causing significant damage to the front end of the sedan.
