Cleveland’s finance chief Ahmed Abonamah resigns, without explanation from City Hall
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb’s finance chief, Ahmed Abonamah, has tendered his resignation, effective July 19. The city announced the move in a Friday news release but offered no reason for Abonamah’s seemingly abrupt resignation. Cleveland.com has reached out to Abonamah and Bibb’s communications staff for comment.
Former Fifth-Round Pick May Wind Up on the Trade Block
Former Fifth-Round pick running back, Jerome Ford may wind up on the trade block after this year’s NFL Training Camp. According to a report, Ford may be coming off a breakout season but Nick Chubb is back so the Browns may trade him. Ford has been taking over the reps as the starter since week two last year after Chubb’s injury. He was able to wheel in 1,132 total yards that season after having a limitation in his rookie season so they could move on from him.

80-year-old man reported missing in East Cleveland
EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — An 80-year-old man has been reported missing in East Cleveland. Elbert Arnwine as last seen around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night when he walked away from his residence on Taylor Avenue and has yet to return. Arnwine suffers from dementia and law enforcement officers are concerned for his safety.
Parma getting a new pink flamingo statue
For six weeks now, the Parma Script Sign has been all alone. Back in May, three men stole the flamingo that was next to it. The 7-foot-tall statue was donated by resident Bob Funk in honor of his wife, who passed away from breast cancer and has become the city's unofficial mascot.
