    Man who rescued two kids from river dies

    Hamilton Twp., NJ – A man who rescued two children from drowning in the Great Egg Harbor River has died.

    The man’s name was Pablo Hernandez-Cruz, and he was from Mays Landing, New Jersey.

    The Inquirer reports that two children went into the river in Hamilton Township, and Hernandez-Cruz jumped in to help them when he saw them having difficulty swimming. He got the two children to safety, but then succumbed to the water.

    Hernandez-Cruz was hospitalized in critical condition and sadly passed away yesterday .

    Family and friends are hailing him as a hero.
