CARO — One could say Rachel L. Parrish received a break when a judge delayed her sentence for one year, keeping her out of jail. But Parrish, 32, of Caro, didn’t take advantage of the situation. Last week a judge ruled Parrish “did not successfully complete her delay of sentence,” and tossed her in jail for 180 days – with credit for 74 days served.
Man pleads guilty to hiding stolen cars
CARO — A 36-year-old Vassar man has pleaded guilty to receiving and concealing two stolen vehicles, and concealing the identity of a third vehicle. Investigators say Joshua D. Zimmerman received and concealed a stolen 1971 Lincoln Continental, and a stolen 1967 GMC pickup truck. Police said they don’t know the dates of those crimes.

Crusaders for Children Michigan to hold Family Fun Day to unite the community
A family- oriented event will be held this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Covenant Hills Camp and Retreat in Otisville. Saginaw, Buena Vista grants to boost park, rail trail
SAGINAW, MI — Two Saginaw County communities will receive a combined $1.8 million in public and private grant monies to invest in outdoor amenities.
