There is a small chance for a few lingering showers tonight, but with the coverage expected to be isolated, more areas will stay dry than wet. Saginaw, Buena Vista grants to boost park, rail trail
SAGINAW, MI — Two Saginaw County communities will receive a combined $1.8 million in public and private grant monies to invest in outdoor amenities. Buena Vista Township will receive $891,300 to revitalize Kueffner Park while Saginaw will collect $862,500 to invest in enhancements at Iron Belle Trail, officials said.
Ithaca woman charged for allegedly embezzling money from vulnerable adult
LANSING, Mich. – A Michigan woman is facing a felony charge for allegedly embezzling money from a vulnerable adult in her care. Cheryl Colburn, 65, of Ithaca, was arraigned on Monday in the 64B District Court in Stanton before Magistrate Brian G. Wagner on one count of Embezzlement from a Vulnerable Adult, $1,000 - $20,000, a 5-year felony, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Colburn, who was serving as the professional guardian and conservator of the victim, allegedly kept the victim’s property for her own benefit.
