Season Ends The Way it Started For Senior Melons
The bad news is, the weather cut the Gothenburg Melons’ season a little short. The good news, they went out with a win. The Senior Melons traveled to Kearney on Tuesday, July 2 to take on the Kearney Jersey’s Seniors. Coincidentally, that is the team Gothenburg started the season against back on May 22. Lexington, Neb. - A man is facing numerous charges including Attempted Murder after attacking a man with a knife Tuesday afternoon according to officials. The Nebraska Football team has honored Hall of Fame Coach Tom Osborne outside their new athletic complex. A statue of Osborne and quarterback Brook Berringer has been installed outside the Osborne Legacy Complex. Fred Hoppe sculpted the statue, which was initially installed outside the Osborne Athletic Complex on the north side of Memorial Stadium in 2006.
