With focus on local creators, Idaho Art Gallery kicks off July Art Show Exhibition
Idaho Art Gallery is showcasing the work of some of the newest players in Meridian’s art scene, including Nicole Hitchcock and Brecken Bird. Gallery owner Nelli Garibyan said the two-day event attracts people from all over the Treasure Valley to both enjoy and buy art pieces, exclusively from Idaho artists. All ages are welcome at the free event.

Widespread haze possible over coming days
CASPER, Wyo. — Casper-area residents may be in store for quite a hazy weekend, according to projected forecasts by the National Weather Service in Riverton. Today, Natrona County is expected to see widespread haze prior to 5 p.m. Temperatures should reach a high of roughly 86 degrees in the afternoon, the NWS in Riverton reports. Pocatello City Council Votes on 2024 Budget Amendment
At tonight’s Pocatello City Council meeting a number of items were discussed and voted on. One of the main agenda items was the budget addition of $2.7 million dollars to the city’s 2024 budget. This money would be used to buy and improve the Western Recycling building at 3034 Garrett Way in Pocatello. With the recycling plant going up for sale, the city was looking at losing its city recycling program. By purchasing the recycling plant, the city will continue its program at a lower cost per tonnage. The City Council voted unanimously voted in favor of the budget amendment.
