    Percy Quin State Park to reopen with new renovations

    MCCOMB, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) announced the grand re-opening of Percy Quin State Park in McComb.

    Starting at 8:00 a.m. on August 2, the park will host a social in the all-new camp store, followed by a special program and unveiling of the new campground. At the conclusion, guests will have the opportunity to tour the new cabins and campground.

    Percy Quin State Park has five newly renovated two-bedroom cabins, one being ADA accessible, and two one-bedroom duplex cabins renovated. Each newly renovated cabin includes:

    • All new stainless steel kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee station).
    • All new dining area with solid surface countertops.
    • All new living room furniture with 50-inch flatscreen, satellite TV, and electric fireplace.
    • All new bedroom furniture and bathrooms with ceramic tile walk in showers.
    • All new outdoor porch with picnic table, firepit, and grill.
    • All new screened in back porch with outdoor furniture.

    According to MDWFP, Percy Quin State Park also has 102 newly updated campsites for RV camping. Each RV campsite is full hookup with water, electricity, sewer, picnic table, and grill. There are also newly renovated premium sites that include a larger pad and lake view.

    Reservations will be available on Monday, July 15 online for overnight stays beginning August 1. From August 1-4, visitors can enjoy the newly renovated campground at the price of just $25 per night.

    Guests can enjoy activities at the park such as fishing, boating, day-use area including playground, nature trail, and tennis courts. Entry fee to the park is $2.00 per person, and children ages five and under are free.
