Lincoln, NE - One lucky player who bought a 2by2 ticket for the Friday, June 28 drawing is holding a ticket worth $22,000. Sutton resident Leo “Larry” E. Griess, 92, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, in Sutton. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, with the Free German Reformed Salem Church Elders officiating. Interment followed at the Free German Reformed Salem Church Cemetery near Sutton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Sutton Community Home Foundation. Condolences may be left at www. suttonmemorial.com Leo was born Aug. 11, 1931, to Ephraim and Cecelia (Huber) Griess in Hamilton County, NE. He enlisted in the United States Army and served until he was honorably discharged on April 30, 1960, he was a proud Korean War Veteran. Leo was employed with Boeing in Seattle, WA prior to moving back to Nebraska. After moving back to Nebraska, he was employed with the Nebraska Department of Roads for 27 years until his retirement.
