The Baltimore Orioles put an end to the San Diego Padres' seven-game winning streak with an 8-6 victory, thanks in no small part to Ryan Mountcastle's clutch hits and Cedric Mullins' defensive prowess. In what can only be described as a necessary win for the Orioles, the team also celebrated the life and legacy of 14-year-old fan Mo Gaba, who died of cancer on July 28, 2020. Mountcastle came through with a couple of two-run singles that kept the Padres at arm's length, despite the visitors rallying back from a six-run deficit to make it a one-run game, as reported by CBS News Baltimore.
