Joseph E Husick 74, formerly of Sayre, Pa and recently residing at Bridgewater Rehab Center in Binghamton, NY passed away on July 3, 2024, following medical complications. Joe was born in Sayre, Pa to Peter and Bertha (Wertz) Husick on December 3, 1949. Joe was a graduate of Athens High School with the class of 1970. He was formerly employed by the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre. Joe enjoyed watching televised sports and was an avid Mets fan. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brother, Philip Husick of Sayre, sister, Jane Galvin and brother-in-law, Robert Galvin of Columbia Crossroads, Pa and brothers-in-law, Bruce Miller of Horseheads, NY and Thomas Koons of Waverly, NY. Joe is survived by his brother, Richard Husick of Sayre, Pa and sisters, Joyce Miller of Corning, NY, Irene Koons of Pass. Christian, MS, Gloria Husick of Dublin, CA a sister-in-law, Kay Handcock Husick of Sayre, Pa and several nieces and nephews.

Cortland Rep to Present New Adaptation of The Classic Thriller WAIT UNTIL DARK
Cortland Repertory Theatre will present as the fourth mainstage show in their 53rd annual summer season, a new adaptation of the classic thriller “Wait Until Dark”, running from July 17 - 26. The Broome County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in identifying two people who are suspects in a fraud investigation in the Town of Chenango. According to the sheriff's office, on June 30th, around 9:40 p.m., the two people pictured above were recorded purchasing a total of $300 in gift cards using fake $100 bills at a CVS on Upper Front Street in the Town of Chenango.
