More tornadoes touched down in New York, making them the 27th and 28th so far this year. The severe storms that blew over New York late Sunday brought heavy rain, hail, and in some places, a tornado. The National Weather Service is trying to figure out just how many touched down last weekend.
Enchanted Forest Water Safari’s Reading Safari rewards 11,000 students
OLD FORGE — Enchanted Forest Water Safari partnered with New York State regional elementary schools in a reading program to promote extracurricular reading and literacy. The program, called Reading Safari, was introduced this year to area schools for grades Pre-K through sixth grade. As a result, the water park gave away 11,000 tickets to eligible students who logged a minimum of 2,750 days of total reading time during the program.

Plans for Clinton Street Area Being Accepted by City of Binghamton
A public call for revitalization projects and proposals regarding Clinton Street and the adjacent neighborhood business district has been issued. The request has been made by Mayor Jared Kraham as the City prepares for the funding application to the Round 8 of the state Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI). This year's DRI will award $10 million in state funding to 10 communities across the state for transformational projects in downtown areas.
Jo Shimoda Injury Update After Unadilla – Broken Collarbone
Honda HRC announced in their press release this afternoon that Jo Shimoda has a broken his collarbone as a result in his crash in the second moto at Unadilla on Saturday. Shimoda secured a fourth-place start and swiftly moved up to second, where he consistently challenged for the lead throughout most of the race. However, with just four laps remaining, he went down in a corner. Although it was essentially a minor tip-over, the awkwardness of the incident led to a broken collarbone, forcing the Japanese rider to withdraw. Meanwhile, Hymas started the second moto, but the lingering effects of his Moto 1 crash caused him to pull out about one-third of the way through.

Camillus, NY - A local developer is proposing to build a restaurant and bar with six indoor pickleball courts in the town of Camillus. The Pickled Kitchen would be located at 532-536 Hinsdale Road, across from Township 5 shopping center in Camillus. The 20,000-square-foot building would be built directly across from the entrance road to the Costco gas station.
