    2024-03-16

Last week I reported on a new Aldi location opening up on March 21st in Tifton, Georgia. The grocery chain has been busy in the Peach State as a second new location is planned for a grand opening a week later in East Ellijay. The new store will be located at 24 West Highlands Drive. East Ellijay is located approximately 75 miles north of Atlanta along Rt.76.

According to the Aldi website, The new store is scheduled to open on March 28th. It will be one of 80 Aldi markets in Georgia. The company operates over 2300 stores nationally. Aldi was originally a German company. They came to the US in 1976 when they opened a store in Iowa. According to Supermarket News Aldi has grown to be the 13th largest grocery chain in the US.
