Hooters: Planning New Florida Restaurant

Hooters opened its first restaurant in Clearwater, Florida, in 1983. They have since grown to over 410 locations in 38 states and 24 countries. The company website describes the Hooters dining experience this way:

Since then millions have been liberated from the ordinary at Hooters while enjoying great food, fun and one-of-a-kind hospitality that can only be served up by the Hooters Girls.

According to clickorlando.com, a new Hooters is being planned for The Villages. Commercial Development Director Geno Jarquin announced in a LinkedIn post that Hooters of America has signed a lease at Lake Deaton Plaza on SR 44 in The Villages.

There is no projected opening date yet for what is planned to be a 47K square-foot restaurant. It will become the 50th location in the state.
