Trout Out for Rest of 2024 Season: Another Injury

Newsweek is reporting that Angels outfielder Mike Trout will be lost for the season. Trout who was recovering from knee surgury earlier this season has sustained another injury. Perry Minasian, Angels GM told reporters Thursday that he will be out for the remainder of 2024 after suffering another torn miniscus.

Trout has lost considerable time to injuries in the last four years. Last year he suffered a fractured hamate bone and only played in one of the Angels last 75 games. In 2022 a back injury sidlined him for 30 games, and in 2021 he missed 122 games with a strained calf.

The 32 year old Trout is a 11 time American League All Star and 3 time Most Valuable Player.
