Fugitive Wanted in Allen County Captured by FBI in Las Vegas
A fugitive who was wanted for a crime in Allen County was taken into custody in Las Vegas, Nevada this past Wednesday by the FBI Las Vegas Criminal Apprehension Unit. According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-ol Leroy H. Page was wanted for a home invasion that took place in October of 2022 where he allegedly forced entry in a residence on Fraunfelter Road and assaulted the home owners which resulted in serious injuries.
Man accused of 2023 Monroe shooting death, multi-county pursuit to stand trial
MONROE, Michigan — A man accused of robbing a Monroe, Mich., market, fatally shooting a man and stealing the car he was a passenger in, leading police on a pursuit and eventually crashing in Hancock County in 2023 will stand trial in circuit court on multiple charges, including homicide, according to the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney.
State Fire Marshal continues to investigate what started fire at Ruth Farms
HARROD, OH (WLIO) - The investigation continues into the barn fire at Ruth Farm in eastern Allen County. According to state fire marshal investigators, the fire started in the breezeway that connected two barns. There was electrical and equipment that ran in the breezeway between the two barns, and fire investigators are trying to determine the exact cause that started the fire.

Hundreds turn out for the 2024 Putnam County Senior Expo
OTTAWA, OH (WLIO) - Healthcare, wellness, and financial advisors were all on hand to help Putnam County seniors on Friday morning. The Putnam County Senior Expo brought together around 60 different senior citizen agencies, organizations, and non-profits, as well as private businesses geared to helping the lives of seniors. Thursday night car fire damages drive-thru at Cable Rd. Chase Bank
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A car fire turned into a 2-alarm fire after flames climbed to a drive-thru at a Lima bank. The Lima Fire Department was called out just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday for a car fire at the Chase Bank on Cable Road. The car was parked near the ATM on the building when it became fully engulfed. The roof of the drive-thru caught fire. The American Township Fire Department was called in to assist. Firefighters acted quickly to protect the rest of the building. No one was injured. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour and a half. The estimated damage is around $40,000.
