31st Street Beach To Close At 9 PM For Next 10 Days After Recent Violence
BRONZEVILLE — The Park District will close 31st Street Beach at 9 p.m. beginning Thursday as it tries to prevent more violence after another shooting there. The earlier curfew was proposed by Ald. Lamont Robinson (4th) in response to recent violence at the beach that has left three people dead, including a couple gunned down June 21 after an argument in a parking lot near the beach.
