Maryland Restaurant Featured in People’s “100 Reasons to Love America”
People Magazine released the latest installment of its “100 Reasons to Love America” series, where the magazine is highlighting their favorite state fair food across the county. Maryland’s winner, listed fourth, comes from the State Fair in Timonium, which will take place over the course of three weekends later this summer.
2024 Maryland Cider Festival Set for Later This Summer
Mark your calendars for the 2024 Maryland Cider Festival, happening on Saturday, September 7th at Two Story Chimney Ciderworks in Gaithersburg, MD. This event showcases hard cider makers from across the Old Line State. You’ll also find local artisans, craft vendors, live music, and food trucks. “Whether you’re an aficionado who knows their cider, cidre, or sidra, or you’re just looking for a refreshing change of taste this is the place to be. Come join us for a celebration of Maryland craft makers.” Though the event has a Gaithersburg address, it’s north of Laytonsville closer to Damascus at 7115 Damascus Rd. Last year’s event was a success enjoyed by many, and round two is less than two months away.

Woman Flown To Hospital After Route 8 Crash
One person was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after a crash in Center Township Saturday afternoon. The accident happened on Route 8 North near the Butler Flea Market.
