Mississippi high school athlete killed after being struck by vehicle in Pennsylvania
YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WTVA) – A Mississippi teen is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Pennsylvania. According to the York County Coroner’s Office, Quinterrion Smith, 17, was visiting Springettsbury Township, Pennsylvania with his basketball team on July 11, when he was hit by a car while crossing North Hills Road with his friends.
DMI receives Mississippi Arts Commission grant
CLEVELAND, Miss. — The Delta Music Institute at Delta State University has been awarded a $4,250 grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC). This grant is a portion of the more than $1.7 million in grants MAC awarded in Fiscal Year 2025 and will be used to fund the annual DMI Summer Camp, a five-day interactive experience for high school students ages 15-18 exploring three entertainment industry career tracks.
