CODY, Wyo., July 3, 2024 — With just one more performance left in the 105th Cody Stampede Rodeo, the competition is getting tighter. That was evident at the third performance of the rodeo, Wednesday night at Stampede Park. With less than ideal weather conditions, it was cold, wet and a little rainy, very few contestants were able to move into the standings and put themselves in position to get a paycheck.

8 Lane Lap Pool Extends Lap Swim Hours
We are excited to be extending the operating hours of the 8 lane lap pool to allow more lap swim time!. The 8 lane pool will remain open between 9:00am-11:00am starting on Monday, July 8th. The new pool hours for lap swim will be Monday-Friday 5:30am-1:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm, and Sunday 12:00pm-5:00pm.
E. coli in Fish Creek poses ongoing risk
JACKSON, Wyo. — E. coli levels in Fish Creek have been flagged as exceeding safe levels for swimming, marking a continued problem with contamination in the stream. The Teton County Health Department (TCHD), in partnership with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WYDEQ) and the Teton Conservation District announced that a caution sign has been placed on Fish Creek by Hunt Bridge after testing found E. coli concentrations there to be above the safe body contact threshold. People are urged to avoid swimming or floating that stretch of water, located north of downtown Wilson off of Fish Creek Road.

Wanted Fentanyl Dealer Arrested In Roosevelt
A man with a warrant for his arrest was arrested on June 28th after an officer noticed a motorcycle with a man on it matching the description of the fugitive dispatch had put out a notice about. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 50-year-old James Earl Lee was driving past the smoke shop in Roosevelt and then pulled over and went into the smoke shop. The officer followed and detained Lee. During the arrest, officers located fentanyl, marijuana, a wad of cash, and drug paraphernalia. The amount of cash along with having 137.5 fentanyl pills were consistent with distribution of drugs. He now faces additional charges of Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance and other Misdemeanor drug charges.
