Bismarck Bobcats Getting Ready To Roll
As summer rapidly goes by - the Bismarck Bobcats are getting ready to roll... ...and this is an example of just how fast time flies by. It seems like yesterday the cats were skating off the ice, ending their run in the playoffs - losing to Minot 3-1 back on May 11th of this year. Since then only 3 months ago, they lost their long-time head coach Layne Sedevie - for the last 15 years, you could hear him cheering on his team.
NDSU Soccer Opens Season With 3-1 Win
LA CROSSE, Wis. – North Dakota State soccer defeated Viterbo University 3-1 in the season opener on Thursday at the Viterbo Athletics Complex. Senior Olivia Watson opened up the scoring in the seventh minute with a close-range effort off of a ball from Hannah Arnold. Watson's 13th goal of her career moved her into a tie for 10th in NDSU's D1 history for goals, tying Abbe Stratton and Malley O'Brien.

Thirteen from UND Softball earn NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Thirteen North Dakota softball players have earned All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) per the association's release in early August. The Fighting Hawks' selections are among an NCAA Division I total of 2,573 student-athletes that registered a 3.5 GPA or higher for the 2023-24 academic year. Four NoDak players boasted a 4.0 GPA, and four others held a 3.8 GPA or higher. As a team, UND posted a 3.394 GPA this past spring and a 3.361 GPA last fall. Little Kids Big World is the Heritage Center’s weekly program that takes place on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. 4-H Achievement Days Held
Emmett Strasser was this year’s winner of the Don Grimsrud Memorial Award for Grand Champion Overall Beef. He is pictured with his Charolais market steer on Wednesday, Aug. 7, during the Roberts County 4-H Achievement Days. On Wednesday, live animals and static exhibits were on display for the public to view, a style show was held, and the public enjoyed the 4-H BBQ dinner and the livestock sale.
