Ducklings Rescued from Anchorage Storm Drain Thriving at Waldron Pond
A happy update on the ducklings that were rescued from a storm drain in Anchorage. You can now find them swimming around at Waldron Pond. Last month Anchorage firefighters rescued the ducklings along Tudor Road in midtown. From there, the ducklings were taken to the Bird Treatment and Learning Center for rehabilitation.
Seattle Kraken games to air in Anchorage and Juneau for free on MyNetworkTV
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU-TV) — For the first time since the NHL team hit the ice, Seattle Kraken games will air for free to over-the-air viewers in Anchorage and Juneau. Beginning with Seattle’s season opener on Tuesday, Oct. 8, Alaska-based fans can tune in over the air to MyNetworkTV on Channel 5.4 (KAUU in Anchorage/KYEX Subchannel in Juneau) to catch the action. Approximately 70 regular season games will air.
Daughter of Big Lake woman who was fatally struck by motorcycle speaks out
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A 79-year-old woman died tragically after being struck by a motorcycle on a paved walking path near Big Lake on Monday. Debbie Bitney, daughter of Nadara Williams, said her mother was on a walk with one of her best friends when the dirt bike hit her. Bitney says her mother was born in Anchorage, moved out of state, then moved to Big Lake about three years ago.

While many areas across Southcentral have already received over half an inch of rain this month, Alaska’s largest city has only managed to see 0.03″.
