Traffic calming project begins for Lore Road after stop sign comes down
Anchorage’s Municipal traffic engineers said they received several calls this spring from Abbot Loop residents concerned that a stop sign would be removed from the intersection of Lore Road and Petersburg Street.

Anchorage police set timeline for release of body camera footage in new draft policy
Anchorage police would publicly release body camera footage of officer shootings and other “critical incidents” within 45 days under a new draft of the department’s body camera policy. The Anchorage Police Department released the draft on Friday, and a spokesperson says it still needs to be signed.
Unsettled, stormy weather continues across southern Alaska
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Another day of heavy rain is expected in parts of Southeast. Juneau saw a record rainfall on Sunday with 1.24″ of rain. That beat the previous record for that date of 0.84 inches (1989). Sitka also had a record rainfall day on Sunday with 1.31″ coming down. This surpasses the earlier record of 1.21″ (1987). Another 2 inches of rain is likely around parts of Southeast over the next three days.
