Police Investigating Two Incidents of Criminal Mischief in Cranberry Township
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP (EYT) — State police in Franklin are investigating two incidents of criminal mischief that occurred along Route 257 in Cranberry Township, Venango County. According to PSP Franklin, the first incident occurred between June 19 and June 22, 2024, and the second incident occurred sometime on July 20, 2024. Both times, an unknown actor gained access to the victim’s property and cut an underground wire to a fountain pump located on the property.

OC bridge work keeps going
Workers with contractor Swank Construction of New Kensington started another week of work Monday on the Veterans Bridge project in Oil City. The work, which among other things includes repairs to the barriers and deck of the bridge as well as sealing cracks and work on the lights, has been moving along on schedule. DoD Requiring New ID for Retired Military
JULY 22, 2024 – Beginning in 2026, the legacy Uniformed Services Identification (USID) card will no longer be accepted for access to benefits, privileges, or DoD bases. According to the DoD Common Access Card website, USID cards are issued to retired military and Reserve members, dependent family members of uniformed Service members, and other eligible individuals in accordance with DoD policy. On July 31, 2020, the DoD started issuing the Next Generation USID cards at select DoD ID card facilities with a phased implementation for all facilities which was completed in December that year.
