Rodney man hits deer in Martiny Township, hospitalized
MARTINY TOWNSHIP — A Rodney man was transported to hospital Monday after he hit a deer while traveling through Martiny Township. At 12:43 p.m. Monday, June 24 deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 15 Mile Road and 110th Avenue to find the 53-year-old male from Rodney struck a deer.
FOUND | MSP finds 12-year-old girl safe
MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — Michigan State Police Mt. Pleasant Troopers said a 12-year-old girl that was missing has been found safe. Madisun Hoogeveen had walked away from her home near 100th Avenue and 4 Mile Road in Hinton Township on Saturday evening around 7:15 p.m. and hadn't been heard from since then.
Mecosta County issues alert for missing 12-year-old girl
MECOSTA COUNTY — The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office placed a missing child alert on its Facebook page late Saturday, June 23. It said in the post that police are actively searching for 12-year-old runaway named Madisun Hoogeveen, who was last seen around 100th Avenue and 4 Mile Road in Lakeview, Michigan in Montcalm County around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, June 22.
58-year-old driver injured, 9-year-old passenger unharmed in two vehicle crash Friday
On Friday, June 21 at approximately 9:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at Northland Drive and 8 Mile Road in Mecosta Township. A vehicle driven by a 58-year-old female, of Wyoming, did not yield the right a way for the northbound vehicle driven by 61-year-old female from Morley. The 58-year-old female had a 9-year-old female with her at the time. The 58-year-old female was transported to Corewell Health in Big Rapids for non-life threatening injuries. She was the only one injured in the crash.
