Bloomfield’s River Walk gets a face-lift
A pretty little piece of real estate set aside for the public’s enjoyment recently received a face-lift from the city of Bloomfield. Work has recently been completed on the latest project at Vereda Dei Rio San Juan, more colloquially referred to as Bloomfield’s River Walk. Located south of U.S. Highway 64 at the end of South First Street, the area hugs the San Juan River as it meanders on its way west. The park was first established in 2001, and various improvements have been made over the intervening years, according to George Duncan, Bloomfield City Manager.

Albuquerque celebrating Fourth of July with Freedom 4th
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The biggest Fourth of July celebration in New Mexico takes place tonight in Albuquerque. Freedom 4th starts at 3 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park. There will be plenty of games and activities for families, local food trucks, breweries and distillers. Country musician Michael Ray will headline the show. His performance starts at 7:45 p.m. Then, the night ends with a huge fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.

Field day in Corona to highlight student research, livestock technology
Taylor Andrews counts herself among the lucky ones who gets to conduct unique research at New Mexico State University’s Corona Range and Livestock Research Center.
