Fake parking tickets are a scam bedeviling unsuspecting drivers
As if paying a parking ticket wasn’t the cause of enough frustration, consider sending off your bank details to pay a fake ticket, and getting scammed in the process. According to Carscoops, criminals in Calgary up in Canada are slipping fake violation citations (that look convincingly real) onto the windshields of parked vehicles for the purposes of essentially stealing online payments from unsuspecting citizens.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was seen on the Southampton platform on Wednesday at 11 p.m. holding a goody bag from a party she had apparently attended that evening. Jennifer Lopez was seen on a westbound subway at 3 p.m. on Thursday heading east from Southampton. Jesse Bongiovi was seen Saturday afternoon on a westbound platform in Montauk. He is the son of Jon Bon Jovi. Also that afternoon, Alexandra Richards, daughter of Keith Richards, was seen on a subway platform in Amagansett.

Stratford, CT Officials Hope New Automated Garbage Collection will Keep Trash Off Residential Streets
The days of trash spilling out of overflowing bins into residential streets may soon be at an end thanks to a new automated garbage collection program set to launch on Labor Day. The Stratford Public Works Department this month delivered a pair of 96-gallon bins to every homeowner as part of the multimillion-dollar program that local officials hope will also make trash pickup more efficient. The receptacles are designed to be automatically emptied by newly upgraded garbage trucks outfitted with special pickup arms, and are large enough to hold up to seven sizable trash bags.
