Jessica Tarlov and David Webb THROW DOWN on Fox News Over Who’s Responsible for Political Division

Fox News contributors David Webb and Jessica Tarlov threw down over whether the right or left bears more responsibility for escalating political rhetoric on rhetoric Sunday.

The heated segment began when Martha MacCallum played a clip of MSNBC’s Jen Psaki arguing that the GOP should change its programming at the Republican National Convention because as it stands, it “is not actually calming the tone or restoring civility.”

“So now the great unifier Joe Biden and the Democrat Party that threw Americans against each other based on that genesis lie you and I have talked about about Charlottesville wants to put the onus back on the RNC after this happens,” posited Webb in his reaction to Psaki. “This is Joe Biden, who called half of Americans Neanderthals. That painted, along with the Democrat Party, many Americans as either white supremacist wannabes, Trump was going to be a dictator, and we’re supposed to change the tone? The tone is about making America great again.”

Tarlov acknowledged that focusing on crime and the crisis at the southern border was fair game, but she disputed Webb’s characterization of how the country came to be so divided.

“I do want to push back on what David was saying about essentially saying that this is a problem that came from the Democratic side, and I would hope that we could take a little time off before we get to this, but the rhetoric out of the Republican side, out of Donald Trump himself or Don Jr about the attack on Paul Pelosi , mocking him, making up a rumor that this was some gay sex event, right? And wasn’t a terrible attack by someone who was politically motivated and could have taken his life. That is the genesis of this, this goes back to 2016,” submitted Tarlov.

“I’ve got to disagree,” shot back Webb. “There is not a chicken and egg moment on this. Charlottesville was a lie by Joe Biden, the genesis lie that we now know,– and we knew all along — and Snopes has had to publish it , C-SPAN has the tape, that is the beginning of this dividing of America-”

“Are you kidding me!?” shouted Tarlov before Webb finished his thought by saying “And while there’s rhetoric on both sides, let’s say this: The mostly peaceful summer, antifa, BLM, endorsed even outwardly by some Democrats in office, tacitly by many others in the left quarters. Look at the Tides Foundation. Look at all these groups that have propped up these policies.”
