Former President Donald Trump complained that Vice President Kamala Harris will end up copying him after he speaks at a Black journalists conference.

On Wednesday, the GOP nominee will take questions from reporters at the National Association of Black Journalists annual convention in Chicago. Trump’s decision to field questions at the event comes as Harris has erased his electoral lead in multiple battleground states.

Trump will take the stage alongside Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner , ABC News senior congressional correspondent Rachel Scott , and Semafor political reporter Kadia Goba for an hourlong discussion. However, Trump will reportedly not take questions from audience members.

The former president voice his complaints at Harris via Truth Social on Wednesday morning to his followers, referring to his opponent as “crazy.”

“Crazy Kamala disrespectfully refused to attend the National Association of Black Journalists Conference, but I am on my way to meet with them now in Chicago,” Trump wrote.

He added, “Because of which, she’ll probably end up doing, she has no choice, but remember—it is only for that reason!”

During the 2020 presidential election, Trump won approximately 12% of the Black vote to President Joe Biden . The event is seen as a way for Trump to appeal directly to minority voters as he prepares to likely face off against the first Black female Democratic presidential nominee.
