Kevin O’Leary Thwarts Laura Ingraham’s Attempt to Cast Harris Campaign as Being Bankrolled by Billionaires: ‘I’m Just Telling You the Facts’

Fox News host Laura Ingraham became visibly annoyed when investor and Shark Tank host Kevin O’Leary disagreed with her assessment about who is bankrolling Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign.

Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid last month. Biden had been foundering in the polls, but Harris’s numbers have been climbing against former President Donald Trump in recent weeks while she enjoyed a fundraising boon. In July, her campaign hauled in $310 million . Two-thirds of the donations came from first-time donors and 94% of the contributions were for $200 or less.

During Monday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle , Ingraham and O’Leary ripped Harris on policy, but the latter noted the vice president’s eye-popping fundraising numbers.

“If you are Kamala Harris right now, you’re killing it on what matters,” he said. “What matters in a campaign is money, especially now. And she’s killing it raising money.”

“Why are the billionaires giving her money?” Ingraham asked. “Kevin, you know these people.”

“No, no, no, no,” O’Leary shot back. “She’s not getting it from billionaires.”

Ingraham bowed her head in apparent frustration.

“She’s getting $20 at a time!” O’Leary protested.

“Silicon Valley and Wall Street is shoveling money at Kamala Harris,” she said. “Why is that?”

O’Leary appeared to take the hint.

“Because it’s working,” he replied.

“For whom?!” Ingraham asked.

“Look, I’m just telling you the facts,” he answered. “If you don’t wanna hear them, I won’t tell them to you. She’s out raising money.”

Ingraham took another run at it.

“Why are they shoveling money to Kamala Harris?” she repeated. “Because she’s a champion of the middle class?”

“No, I’m answering a different question,” the guest replied. “You’re asking the right question. Why do we get policy? And I’m telling you, it won’t be until after August 7th. That’s when the race begins.”
