POLL: Times/Sienna Has Harris Thumping Trump In These Key Swing States

A new poll found Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris leading Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump by four points in three battleground states with less than 100 days until the election.

A new Times /Sienna poll has Harris taking the lead over the GOP nominee in the key states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania — a critical coalition of swing states in the rust belt.

In the match-up, Harris leads the former president 50% to 46%. The survey was published on Saturday and comes amid a new wave of enthusiasm for the Harris campaign.

When broken down by party, Republicans were less likely than Democrats to say they were satisfied with their party’s nominee. 79 percent of Republicans said they were content with Trump as their nominee compared to 87 percent of Democrats when asked about Harris.

The poll also shows Harris and Trump even amongst White voters overall; however, Harris leads the former president 23 points among White college educated voters. Meanwhile, Harris leads Trump by 68 points amongst Black voters and 11 points with suburban voters.

The survey was conducted with 619 registered voters in Michigan and 661 voters in Wisconsin with margin of errors of 4.8% and 4.3%. The Pennsylvania survey held with 693 registered voters between August 6th-9th with a margin of error of 4.2%

According to the Real Clear Politics presidential polling average, the race is much tighter with Harris only leading Trump by 0.5% in polling, but losing in the electoral college .

“They have dramatically understated President Trump’s support both among all registered voters and in their likely-voter model,” Trump campaign pollster Tony Fabrizio said in a statement.

Fabrizio added, ” In each state, the gap between the survey’s recalled 2020 vote and the reported 2020 election results is more than the margin between Kamala Harris and President Trump. Once again, we see a series of public surveys released with the clear intent and purpose of depressing support for President Trump.”
