‘He’s Not Coming Back, Donald!’ Jon Stewart Mocks ‘Sad’ Trump for Fantasizing About Biden Getting Back Into the Race

The Daily Show host Jon Stewart mocked former President Donald Trump for fantasizing about President Joe Biden getting back into the 2024 presidential race, Monday, likening him to “an old man talking to an empty spot on the bench” where his wife used to sit.

After playing a compilation of Trump using the exact same words and insults to attack Vice President Kamala Harris as he used against Biden, Stewart said, “Look, I hate to say it, I don’t think Trump has it in him to go after Kamala Harris. He’s been fighting Joe Biden for six years, it’s all he knows. He misses the fight so much. He was still workshopping nicknames for Joe Biden this weekend.”

Stewart proceeded to play a clip of Trump asking supporters at a rally last week whether they preferred the nickname “Sleep Joe” or “Crooked Joe.”

“This is sad,” reacted Stewart. “It’s like seeing an old man talking to an empty spot on the bench, and then you realize that’s where his wife used to sit. He would give everything for just one more moment with Crooked Joe.”

After playing a clip of Trump predicting that Biden would “make a comeback” at the upcoming Democratic National Convention and demand “another chance to debate Trump,” Stewart advised the former president, “He’s not coming back. He’s not coming back, Donald… It’s over!”

Stewart then suggested that Trump and his supporters “storm the convention” to stop Harris and force Biden back into the race.
