JD Vance Interview With Rape-Advocating Anti-Immigrant Writer Resurfaces

JD Vance’s appearance on a podcast in 2021 has caused quite a stir online after social media users looked into the show’s host.

Vance, the Ohio senator picked by Donald Trump to be his running mate, did an interview on Jack Murphy Live . In a clip that recently viral, the vice presidential candidate that the “massive wave” of Italian, Irish and German immigrants resulted in “higher crime rates” and “ethnic enclaves.”

While many online criticized him for the comments, Vance’s mere presence on the podcast drew even more backlash. Murphy, whose real name is John Goldman , has expressed a number of deplorable views on his personal blog.

Under his pseudonym, Murphy once stated in a now-deleted blog post — which has been quoted in multiple outlets — that “behind even the most ardent feminist facade is a deep desire to be dominated and even degraded,” and that “rape is the best therapy for the problem. Feminists need rape.”

In 2018, Murphy was the senior manager of finance, analysis and strategy at D.C. Public Charter School Board. He was placed on administrative leave while the board investigated his online activity. He admitted to the board that he used the pseudonym and confirmed the blog was his.

Murphy has refuted claims that he’s associated with White supremacy or the alt-right movement, but his writings have led people to believe otherwise.

In a 2017 post about the alleged rape of a 14-year-old Maryland girl by two Central American immigrants, Murphy blamed “sanctuary cities” like Rockville, Maryland, for welcoming “massive numbers of immigrants into their neighborhoods” and “defying the federal government.”

“However, the tragedy of a young girl getting raped in the bathroom at school just might be what turns the attention of limousine liberals from the brainwashing narrative of the Democrats and towards a more sane approach to immigration,” Murphy wrote.

“Let’s just hope it will only take one, and not an epidemic of heinous crime to finally get those suburban soccer moms out of their denial and into the real world.”

In March 2017, charges were dropped against the Central American teens — aged 17 and 18. According to Montgomery County State Attorney John McCarthy, the facts of the case did not “support the original charges filed.”
