Lindsey Graham Warns ‘Provocateur’ Trump Could Lose Election Over Attacks on Kamala Harris

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a staunch ally of Donald Trump , warned the Republican nominee could lose the 2024 election to Vice President Kamala Harris if he continues to level personal attacks on her race instead of policy.

On Meet the Press , moderator Kristen Welker asked Graham about Nikki Haley’s plea on Fox News this week that Trump and Republicans stop “whining” about Harris’s race.

“Do you agree with Nikki Haley?” Welker asked.

“Yeah. I don’t think — I don’t look at Vice President Kamala Harris as a lunatic,” Graham said. “I look at her as the most liberal person to be nominated for president in the history of the United States.”

“I would make it about policy,” he continued. “A nightmare for Harris is to defend her policy choices.”

“Do you think former President Trump should stop talking about Vice President Harris’s race and intelligence?”

“Yeah,” Graham said, before proposing that he and other Republicans, including Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, travel to Georgia to campaign for Trump instead of “giving advice on TV.”

“President Trump can win this election,” Graham said. “If you have a policy debate, he wins. Donald Trump the provocateur, the showman, may not win this election.”
