‘F**k You!’: Morning Joe’s Mike Barnicle Shouts Down Ex-Obama Aide Criticizing Biden, Per Axios Report

Morning Joe regular Mike Barnicle exploded at a former top Obama White House official he crossed paths with over the weekend who appeared to take pleasure in President Joe Biden’s decision to step down from the presidential race.

Barnicle, a longtime friend and vocal supporter of Biden, was approached by the unnamed former aide at Fenway Park in Boston, according to a Behind the Curtain column by Axios’ Mike Allen and Jim VandeHei .

The official approached Barnicle with what was apparently intended to be a shared moment of humor and reportedly remarked: “Isn’t it great that fucking guy finally figured out he had to quit?”

However, Barnicle, weary and not in the mood for backhanded comments, responded with his own sharp words: “What guy?!”

The person replied: “Joe Biden!”

Barnicle was unwilling to let the comment slide and unleashed on the West Wing alumnus: “You know something? Fuck you! And fuck all your friends with their anonymous quotes in the papers. Put your name on it next time!”

According to Axios, the story made its way to Biden, who reportedly couldn’t contain his laughter. A source familiar with Biden’s reaction told the outlet: “He might still be laughing.”

The story surfaces as Biden prepares for his Democratic National Convention address in Chicago on Monday night. Reports continue to circulate that the president remains “angry” regarding circumstances surrounding his exit from the 2024 race, including the silence of former President Barack Obama and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
