Andy Beshear Hits Back at JD Vance’s Jeffrey Epstein Attack on Harris — Cites Vance Rape Pregnancy Remark

Democratic Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear spotlighted Senator JD Vance’s (R-OH) extreme anti-abortion stance after the Republican compared Vice President Kamala Harris to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on Sunday.

Beshear was shown the clip from Vance’s interview with Fox News Sunday host Shannon Bream by CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins during analysis ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

In the bizarre anecdote, Vance compared Harris and Epstein in an effort to criticize Harris on economic policy and told Bream, who offered no push back: “Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policies, Shannon, it’s like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy.”

In reaction, sat beside Collins, the governor shook his head in disgust before drawing attention to Vance’s 2021 statements on abortion.

For this guy to mention Jeffrey Epstein when he has encouraged women to stay in relationships with domestic violence and when he called someone getting impregnated through rape as ‘inconvenient’, it’s really something.

Pressed by Collins on what Vance meant by the comparison, Beshear said: “I think he tries to be sensational a lot.”

In a 2021 interview with SpectrumNews1 , Vance expressed his belief that anti-abortion laws should not include exceptions for rape or incest, stating: “two wrongs don’t make a right.”

He said: “It’s not whether a woman should be forced to bring a child to term. It’s whether a child should be allowed to live even though the circumstances of that child’s birth are somehow inconvenient or a problem to society.”

These remarks from JD Vance regarding abortion restrictions in cases of rape or incest have resurfaced after he was named Donald Trump’s running mate.

In an interview with CNN in December 2023 , Vance revised his stance, saying there should be “exceptions for the life of the mother and rape and so forth.”
