    WATCH LIVE: Democratic National Convention Night One

    The Democratic National Convention kicks off on Monday night with a suite of high profile speakers — including the sitting president of the United States.

    The convention, which is being held at the United Center in Chicago and will see the nomination of Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to run on the Democratic ticket and take on former President Donald Trump, kicks off with a suite of remarks from lawmakers, including Dick Durbin and Kathy Hochul, activists and even non-political figures like Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

    The headliners of the night: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Hillary Clinton, Andy Beshear and finally President Joe Biden, who will be speaking in the 9 p.m. CT hour.

    At some point, James Taylor will perform.
