Former President Donald Trump raged on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday morning and pointed out which Democratic National Convention speaker he found to be the “nastiest” to him.

“Kathy Hochul, the very unpopular Governor of New York, was the nastiest speaker on Monday evening (at the Democrat National Convention) as it pertains to your favorite President, me,” Trump posted of Hochul’s address to the DNC.

“Her total hatred, and statements made about me, had no bounds,” Trump complained, adding :

I was amazed for two reasons: Number one, I did a GREAT job in New York, employed thousands of people, built some of the most beautiful and successful buildings, and paid billions of dollars in taxes. Number two is that, on the very distinct possibility I will win the Presidency, wouldn’t it be better for the people of New York State to have a Governor who got along with the President? Adversarial relationships are not good in politics!

Unfairly, I am before a very biased and hateful New York Judicial System that is appointed and largely controlled by the Governor. With the vitriol displayed by her on Monday night, it is no wonder that the Judges have treated me so badly. The whole system is RIGGED, and companies are leaving because of it!!!

The New York Times called Hochul’s address one of the biggest speeches of her career so far and dubbed her a “political journeywoman” given her roundabout path to becoming governor of one of the country’s biggest states. “But while many of her predecessors have used similar venues to nurse their own presidential ambitions or personal interests, Ms. Hochul, 65, appeared to try a more workaday, collaborative approach that has defined her governorship,” wrote the Times , adding:

She attacked former President Donald J. Trump, noting his litany of criminal indictments and calling him a fraud. “Trust me, America,” she said. “If you think you’re tired of Donald Trump, talk to a New Yorker.” And she spoke with pride of her own Irish-Catholic upbringing in Buffalo, where “grit,” “determination” and “compassion” were celebrated.

Hochul , who did not oversee Trump’s trials, also called him a “fraud, a philanderer, and a felon.”

“It’s no wonder he had to flee to Mar-a-Lago. Sorry about that, Florida,” she quipped, saying, “New York’s motto is ‘excelsior: ever upward,’ and Trump takes us ever downward.” Hochul assumed the governorship some three years ago after Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) resigned and was reelected in 2022.
